Corel Enters The Virtualization Market With Parallels Acquisition.


Corel has acquired Parallels according to an announcement by Corel in a press release today. While we use Vmware mostly for running windows on our MACs, Parallels has been in and out of our computers. With Parallels acquisition, Corel enter the virtualization market, which is much more than just running windows on macs.

Corel Corporation today announced that it has acquired the Parallels business, a global leader in cross-platform solutions best known for its #1-selling software for running Windows on Mac. Corel now offers the complete Parallels product line, including Parallels Desktop for Mac, Parallels Toolbox for Windows and Mac, Parallels Access, Parallels Mac Management for Microsoft SCCM, and Parallels Remote Application Server (RAS) as part of its industry-leading software portfolio. Financial details were not disclosed.

Corel’s CEO, Patrick Nichols, sees two companies are “highly complementary.”

  • Resolves a problem caused by specific third-party memory cards, where the cards cannot be recognized by Sony cameras.
  • Fixes an issue where, while taking a picture using the Auto Review function, the camera may stop responding.
  • Fixes an issue where, in rare cases, images may not be displayed or the camera may stop functioning while writing RAW data onto an SD card that has been used multiple times
    Note: No image data on the memory card will be modified or deleted, aside from the data that was being written at the time the issue occurred

Carlos Ghosn And Greg Kelly May Spend XMas In Prison.

Tokyo prosecutors on Monday indicted former Nissan Motor Co. Chairman Carlos Ghosn, close aide Greg Kelly and the automaker itself for allegedly breaching the Financial Instruments and Exchange Act by making misstatements in its securities reports.
The indictment comes three weeks after Ghosn, 64, was arrested on suspicion of under reporting about ¥5 billion of his remuneration in the company’s financial statements during the five years through March 2015.
Kelly, formerly representative director at Nissan, was arrested with Ghosn on Nov. 19 for allegedly conspiring to understate the former chairman’s remuneration by about half its full value for the five-year period from April 2010. Ghosn is accused of reporting only ¥5 billion of his ¥10 billion remuneration in the financial statements for the period.

Listen to MARS' Wind Songs, Thanks To NASA's InSight Mars lander.

With Mars' air which is about 1% of that of the Earth's. This is so weak that one might not hear someone talking to you from a few feet away.
But that does not stop wind and even micro tornadoes, dust devils, from blowing all over blow across the Martian surface, and recording the sounds of these phenomena came as a by product of the sensor aimed to record mini earthquakes of MARS, which is essential to the success of NASA's newest mission at the red planet, NASA's InSight Mars lander.

'Kodi No Limits' Channel, Meets It's Limit At Youtube


The popular Youtbe channel, 'Kodi No Limits' channel, providing numerous tutorial videos about Kodi and various plugins for the program, was taken offline.
Youtube says that it received a lot of claims of copyright infringement. Most probably for those videos that gave how to's on piracy tools. The channel lost more than 600K members/subscriber as well as all the uploaded videos.
Kodi No Limits website is still up with blank links for the Youtube videos. But his other outlets like Twitter, Instagram are intact and KNL promise to return.
